Hawthorn

Year:
2018

This project design began as far back as 2015 when the proposal to renovate and extend this significant and heritage listed Hawthorn home first began. What this garden lacks in size it makes up for in interest. The rear garden is a flexible space to allow for offstreet parking in the rear as required but largely functions as an entertaining space with 2 different decking spaces. The brief included the requirement to have a productive garden and there’s an abundance of herbs and spaces for seasonal veges interspersed with cactai and suvcculents.

The existing Jacaranda was protected for the duration of the build and is complemented with a Flame tree and Wattle as an homage to primary colours.

We are immensely proud of the outcome here and the developed connection between the old and new elements of the home and garden.
